Who Is BoldPath Consulting?

Patrick Glynn founded BoldPath Consulting in August 2023 after three decades in public-sector human resources, including 19 years as a county HR director and nearly a decade in management consulting.


His career spans the full scope of local government HR: collective bargaining, classification and compensation, workforce planning, benefits administration, compliance, labor relations, and organizational design. He led enterprise-wide HR functions within complex county systems that included human services, public health, highway and public works, 24/7 public safety operations, and county-owned nursing homes. He has negotiated workforce transition agreements, modernized pay systems, and advised governing bodies on some of the most consequential personnel decisions they faced.


Before founding BoldPath, Patrick served as Director of Total Rewards Consulting, leading a public-sector compensation and human resources consulting practice. Earlier in his career, he served as Human Resources Director for Calumet County and Sauk County, and as Administrative and Personnel Coordinator for Marquette County.

BoldPath's History

The BoldPath name carries two threads of personal meaning.

'Bold' honors a close friend whose constant encouragement was a simple phrase: 'Be bold.' That conviction, to act with purpose even when the path is uncertain, is embedded in how BoldPath approaches its work.


'Path' reflects a period of personal renewal that included long-distance hiking across multiple states and throughout Wisconsin. That experience clarified what mattered most: using the skills built over a career to help organizations make better decisions and build stronger systems.


Together, the name captures what BoldPath offers its clients: the confidence to make bold decisions and the steady guidance to follow the right path forward.

BoldPath exists to help local governments and mission-driven organizations find clarity in complexity, make decisions that withstand scrutiny, and build systems that serve both the people inside the organization and the public it serves.
